Authors Note: I am getting out of Florida for a few days to do some mountain biking up in North Georgia. Regular posting will resume on May 22nd assuming I get through the weekend with no major injuries.

Last month I posted the rejected songs to this comp. To paraphrase: I am a member of the International Mix Tape Project a global community of music-oriented souls that exchange monthly compilation tapes and CD-Rs. You can visit the site at www.InternationalMixtapeProject.com, then click on Rules to find out more about IMP.

When I have time I like to do themes and this month I decided to do a devil music theme. Not devil worship music mind you. Just a selection of songs where the devil played some role in the song and I ended up with the following 21 tracks. I’m pretty happy with it. If you want a cd copy of the comp be one of the first 5 people to email me and I’ll drop one in the mail for you.

There isn’t any theme to my submission to the IMTP this month. Just some good tunes assembled and arranged to flow as smoothly as possible. Still a kick ass disc IMO. Next month I am gonna be doing a devils music theme. Know some songs with devil in the title or about the devil? Post them in the comments or email me. As usual, if you want a copy of this comp just email me a mailing address:

Another month, another mix cd for the IMTP. Here is the description of what I was trying to achieve that I included with the cd:

This months compilation is a collection of American artists. Some more well known than others and some unsigned. All, awesome in my opinion. Spring is upon us and the folks in the north are beginning to thaw out and us in the south are beginning to sweat. So I assembled this cd as a soundtrack for sitting on the front porch with a Lynchburg Lemonade in hand and country ribs grilling on a Sunday afternoon with friends in mind. Hope you enjoy it.

Yesterday I put it on the radio while we grilled some wild duck one of the wife’s clients had given us. We managed to drink some of those Lynchburgs as well. One thing about making a good Lynchburg Lemonade is to make your own sour mix instead of buying it. It is more work but it is totally worth your efforts. If you wanna know how to do it or if you happen to want a copy of this cd email me. If you are looking for a copy of the disc then include a mailing address.

My intent here at ninebullets is to review the Cd’s I get every month from the IMTP. Well, the CD I got last month was the poo-poo so here’s to hoping this month’s is better. It was way down tempo instrumentals and a few sleepers with a foreign singer. Needless to say, it only got one pass in the car and went straight to the garbage can. Undeterred, we are back with the December mix. I decided to use December as a chance to put together a collection of drinking songs since so much drinking tends to happen with all the parties. I got a little ambitious with the mix and assembled the songs so a story would unfold following the ebb and flow of a night out doing some heavy drinking. I’ll stop shy of calling it a ringing success but the backbone of the story is there. So, like last month I will offer up a copy of this mix to anyone who happens to want it. The first 5 people to email me their mailing address will get a copy….free….and trust me, it is worth the money.

Okay, I am offering up a free mix cd….Why? Well, I had to make a mix cd for the International Mix Tape Project and since I have it here I thought I would offer it out to some folks who might be interested. The theme of this mix is “road trips”….basically, since @ the end of this month I am taking a road trip to Alabama for the Lucero/DBT show I wanted to make a mix cd with songs I like to sing-a-long to….Viola!….So what do you have to do to get a copy of this mix? Just email me your mailing address and tell me what your favorite drinking song is and why. Why do I wanna know your favorite drinking song? Because drinking songs is gonna be the theme for my December mix. Track Listing of the mix cd below the cut.
