whitmore is one of the most underappreciated artists. i feel like im constantly beating people over the head with his praises. but he needs it and deserves it. the first time i saw him he opened for tim barry in gainesville. i had no idea who he was and he DESTROYED tim barry’s performance. hell, im a big tim barry fan but the whole tim i want whitmore to jump on stange and tell tim “i’ll take it from here.”

Man, I love William. I saw him live recently opening for Alela Diane. Alela (to my surprise, since I never even heard of her before reading about her on 9b) drew a huge crowd, but WEW, who was unknown to almost everybody else, got a very nice reception. He played his heart out, stomped and howled and was simply amazing. After the show I talked to him for a moment and he seems like a genuinely nice and cool guy.
