WILLIAM ELLIOTT WHITMORE + DAYTROTTER = INSTANT AWESOME

When William Elliott Whitmore does a Daytrotter Session I feel it’s my obligation to tell you guys.

Last week a friend of mine and I were sitting in a bar talking about music and William came up. My friend made the comment that William is probably the most underrated musician in this little genre with a million names that we talk about and really, I can’t see to disagree with him.

Anyhow. There is an excellent article and 4 songs over on the Daytrotter page. Included in the set is a cover of the Bad Religion song, Don’t Prey On Me. So go check it out.

I am not gonna include any of the songs from the current session in this post but I will include some from his debut Daytrotter session but you should go check that one out as well. If for nothing else go check it out for the text that accompanies the songs.

William Elliott Whitmore – Does Me No Good
William Elliott Whitmore – When Push Comes To Love
William Elliott Whitmore – That Train That Carried Away My Girl
William Elliott Whitmore – Dry

  1. Will’s awesome…we’ve played some shows together, and he’s never been anything but a king…

I love hearing the banjo version of “Old Devils”

I only wish he would have played “Hell or High Water”
