At this time every year I tell myself that this is the year I detach myself emotionally from football. I tell myself that this year I will watch the games for the entertainment value they provide and not get so wrapped up in the “thrill of victory” or “the agony of defeat”….there will be NO MORE kicked chairs….NO MORE slammed doors….NO MORE thrown remotes….NO MORE wanting to kick the guy with the other teams jersey on the other side of the bars ass….NO MORE screaming at the tv….NO MORE scaring the dog out of the room….NO MORE I say….NO MORE….every year during this week I try and convince myself to act like an adult this season….act like you’ve seen it all before…and this year is no different….

But this weekend the Buccaneers and Seminole seasons kick off I will not be able to help it….all of the pregame show I will be reformed….rehabilitated if you will…I’ll see the opponents hats and jerseys and I won’t care…I’ll laugh along with the 10 year tired “Free Shoes U” jokes…I will be civilized and mature…then, something will happen…and it is over…
