Ha ha. My boss is tapping his feet, and U2 is his favorite band.

It's cool, thanks for sharing the good story of how they came to be.

I see what you mean about the Skinny Puppy comparison. Several distinct elements that don't quite blend (in SP's case, experimental/noise/ambient, rock, classical, etc.) making up a single composition.

"Thank You..." sounds straight up like a Skinny Puppy song with that xylophone, minimal guitar, and singing about dead animals ...pretty much everything about it.

I like this, yes; wish it had a bit more impact upfront, but maybe things creep out over time & that's what gets the cd played over n over. much better on a second listen through for me. I don't get the industrial bit though, not that I could come up with a better one.

I like this. It sounds like steampunk music, if steampunks had better taste in music. It's a much better alternative to Abney Park anyway...

I also think it's close enough to Those Poor Bastards (particularly when Lonesome Wyatt is at his most gothically melodramatic) to be lumped in with them. Maybe not doom-country since you consider that very specific, but when you have a broader category like "gothic americana" encompassing Slim Cessna's Auto Club, S.o.P., T.P.B., 16 Horsepower, and the rest, this fits right in there if you ask me.

A new meaning to the term "industrial folk"?

Anyway, I'm a ninebullets reader and I like it.

Haha while listening to the into of Two Cents I thought "this sounds just like Josh Smalls' picking, how can this be like Skinny Puppy?" Then the vocals came in. It's a little dark for my taste but definitely not like anything I've heard before.
