I told you we’d get it all figured out. And we did. The more frequent and attentive visitors to the site might have noticed that last night the sidebar went through a few subtle changes. Thanks to our stellar tech machine Dr. Trevorkian you can now subscribe to all of our RSS feeds, you can see my twitter activity and there is a link to the current podcast.
Without getting very technical (cause I don’t really understand it on that level), the first attempt at the podcast had us hosting everything here on the main site. In doing that the podcast was eating our RSS feed. In other words, disaster…perhaps Trevor can post a more detailed explanation in the comments. Now what we have is a separate, official ninebullets.net podcast site. This will work out pretty nicely I think. The sidebar will link over to the site and all the podcasts will be available over there forever(ish) as opposed to the mere 30 days things are available here on the main site. Each time I post a new podcast I’ll mention it over here in a post and included the embeded player you see below.
I hope y’all enjoy these things.
Also, you’ll notice on the site of the podcasts that there is a paypal donation area in the sidebar. I’m not too keen on begging for money but at the same time, there is nothing about this site that’s free and, if you notice, there are no ads. Granted, the five dollars a month is not gonna break me but it is an added cost. If you feel like it, drop a donation. If not, enjoy the music and buy a shirt or cd from one of the bands I write about.
As a final order of business I would like to thank Blake from the podcast It Burns When I Pee for his donation of a couple of hours today to design a ninebullets.net podcast logo for me. Go check out his podcast and thank him for helping me out.
That’s is. Let’s Podcast. Once again, here is the tracklist for the debut podcast and I’m sorry for getting so drunk by the end of it.

Thanks, Autopsy IV!! It’s nice to see Leonard Cohen up in the mix on your first podcast. He definitely embodies the against the grain spirit and sensibilities that I have come to expect from you and your blog.
PS. Thanks for the stickers. They are already on the trucks. PA represent!!

There wasn’t much to it. The designers of the podcasting plugins just figure, when you put music links in your posts, hey, that’s a podcast!
But we put music links in LOTS of posts, and they’re usually not part of the podcast. But all of those posts would show up in the “podcast-only” feed.
So either we write our own plugin for it (*cough*lazy*cough*) or we use an external host for the podcasting.

The track “Nine Bullets” is a great way to start off a dreary Monday morning. Nice job, and great selection of tunes. But please, there’s no way you are “sorry” for being drunk by the end of it. Drunk podcasting is part of your charm.

no no…I am sorry for getting so drunk but not for actually getting drunk.
For the second one my goals are “less fucks” & “less slurring”
