This week I went out to the new release tree and gave it a shake to see what might fall out. The result was a sonic Thanksgiving feast. Matter a fact, I got so many new tracks I wasn’t able to get to them all this week which means next week will basically be an all new release show too. This show features brand new tracks from; Chris Knight, Old Crow Medicine Show, Left Lane Cruiser & James Leg, The Bohannons, Magnolia Mountain, Kasey Anderson and former .357 String Band member, Joseph Huber…Ninebullets Radio: Next month’s Americana radio programming, tonight.

If all of this sounds like something you’d be willing to invest an hour into then put some ears on the archived stream of the show and thanks for tuning in.

I am trying something new with the track listing by including the album that the songs came from. Not sure if anyone actually reads these things but I thought that might be a useful piece of information that I was removing from the official playlist when I post it here. So lemme know if that’s something you appreciate/will use.

Last week’s show turned out so good I consciously went into this show trying to duplicate it. The lesson here is that the show just needs to happen organically. It’s still a good show, I just feel like the playlist is a little forced at spots. That said, it’s about the music, not my DJ prowess and the music is top notch. I continue my unrelenting push of McDougall by reaching into his back catalog for a song that’s a must hear for fans of the Tim Barry ethos. There is also a song from Florida’s Owsley Brothers that’s all sorts of groovetastic and you never go wrong with a little Left Lane Cruiser and Rev. Peyton. Towards the end the show starts to relax and features one of my newest obsessions, The Great Unknowns. If all of this sounds like something you’d be willing to invest an hour into then put some ears on the archived stream of the show and thanks for tuning in.

Last night was the 75th episode of Ninebullets Radio! Pretty cool. I just wish I’d noticed it last night. Oh well. It’s still pretty neat and hopefully there will be 75 more and maybe some of those will be 2 hours long.

I may not have realized/remembered that it was the 75th week of Ninebullets Radio but the track listing still ended up being something special. Some shows are better than others and I truly feel like last night’s was one of the best I’ve done in a while. It had a little of everything; country, punk blues, rock, men singers, women singers, local and national bands. Not sure how it came out so well but I’m glad it did so make sure you put some ears on the archived stream of the show and thanks for tuning in.

I was back in the saddle last night after taking a week off and boy howdy it sure felt good. As you can see from the image above, the ninebullets radio stickers came in this week as well. I plan on using them during the next pledge drive so be on the lookout for more info sometime on July about how to get one, should you want one.

Last night’s episode opens with a Doc Watson tune in remembrance of him before launching into a “summer themed” set. The show also features a double dose of one of my favorite new artist finds, McDougall. We get one of his solo songs and follow it up with a track from his project The Brothers Of The Last Watch which also features one of the fellas from Hillstomp. The show also includes new tunes from Hurray For The Riff Raff, The Mastersons, Possessed By Paul James, Otis Gibbs and lots more. If that sounds like the good stuff and you’ve got an hour, go put some ears on the archived stream of the showand thanks for tuning in.

Yesterday I got stuck driving 3 hours north for a 3:00 meeting that ended up only lasting 15 minutes. When the meeting was scheduled I wasn’t sure when I’d get home so I asked Beverly to cover the show for me and when I got out so early I decided to take advantage of the situation and go beer hunting. Beverly did a great job with the show and I ended up scoring a good collection of beers I can’t get down here in the St. Petersburg area. Win, win if you ask me.

This week’s episode features new Willie Nelson, Kelly Hogan, Andre Williams w/The Sadies and Paul Thorn as well as a strong does of Florida music via Rebekah Pulley, Lauris Vidal and Jubal’s Kin.
