HAIKU REVIEW: LIZZIE HUFFMAN — PRETTY OLD SOUL

Some haikus for the Pretty Old Soul, on the grounds of gimmick, exposition, and recommendation:

Home run on track one,
rest of the album bats a-
round. Two-for-two, Huff.

Ten inch records earn
the most scene points, stick it to
your roommate’s LPs.

Songs in keys of
hope-less Boss and lone, lorn Lynott.
Sad, proud sound, just listen.

Don’t over-do it,
Haikus were cheap from the start.
Essential Listen…ing?

9B WEEK IN REVIEW:

This was a slow week here on ninebullets. The week opened with some hosting issues which prohibited us from posting anything until Tuesday afternoon and then we just never found our stride. That said, there were posts and this is where we recap them:

  • There were exclusives! Lizzie Huffman has a new 10″ coming out and we have a song.

DEBUT: LIZZIE HUFFMAN – FRANKLIN STREET

I’ve know Virgil for quite a while and I can say I’d have a hard time thinking of a release he’s pushed harder that the upcoming released of Lizzie Huffman’s Suburban Home debut 10”, Pretty Old Soul.

Virgil was kind enough to drop a song on us for a 9B exclusive so sit back and enjoy.
