Broadrick and Sunn O)))! Jesu U.S. Tour!

Justin Broadrick posted today about some upcoming activities.

Justin K Broadrick will be performing with Sunn 0))) on their current U.K and Eire tour, here are the dates –

Fri 13th Oct 06 London – Hippodrome[Frieze]
Sun 15th Oct 06 Glasgow – ABC2
Mon 16th Oct 06 Belfast – Black Box
Tue 17th Oct 06 Dublin – Crawdaddy
Thu 19th Oct 06 Galway – Richards Bar
Fri 20th Oct 06 Cork – Cypress Avenue

Justin will also be performing as Final in England ; a one off headline on Nov 3rd 06 at The Cooler in Bristol, and supporting MONO [Japan] at The Corporation in Sheffield on Nov 7th 06.

Jesu WILL be touring the U.S.A with ISIS beginning late Feb ending early April 2007 in support of the ‘Conqueror’ album release in mid Feb 2007. The routing and dates are currently being finalised, dates and details soon….

Basking in Sunn O)))

Someone clued me in on the existence of Sunn O))) recently, and since then they were brought up in conversation by someone completely unrelated to the first person. Certainly such coincidence communicates a need to check them out for myself. So I did, and because I like what I heard I suggest you do too.

The sound of Sunn O))) varies a lot depending on who they collaborate with, but generally you can expect down-tempo, chill soundscapes behind moody instrumentation and sometimes abstract vocals. The selection I chose is slightly more energetic than most of the others, but if you find yourself dancing to it, you’ve either managed to play it at the wrong tempo or you could probably stand to sober up a bit.
