In a recent interview former Skid Row singer, Sebastian Bach, revealed that along with a new rock album he is prepping an album of country tunes. Says Bach, “I hate to use that word ‘country’ because people have a weird idea. To me, my idea of country is Neil Young ‘Old Man’, or Allman Brothers, or Willie Nelson ‘Whiskey River’ and stuff like that. I like outlaw country. I like the bad-ass Waylon Jennings coke country [laughs], Leon Russell with long hair, fucking partying [laughs].”
Here is a track he did last year:

This doesn’t surprise me much. The video looks like a bad VH1 reality show and the song is pretty forgettable. It all just seems very forced. He actually did a stint with the musical Superstar (ya know, Jesus Christ, superstar?) probably about ten years ago but he was MIA for the show I saw.

My first thought was, “eh. it’s probably better than anything Shooter will do from here on out.”

Awe that’s sad. Of course I haven’t heard another word about Shooter’s 100% rock record and the possible tour with Lucero since Brian mentioned it. That’s probably a good thing though.

sweet merciful god that’s bad. he and brett michaels should get together and tour.
note to sebastian: a descending chord progression and the word “whiskey” does not a country song make.

It’s just as bad as everything else on country music stations.

classic 80’s hair ballad with a little twang and slide guitar. I think they took a listen to the Young Guns 2 soundtrack before producing this gem.

I just threw up in my mouth a little.

Brian told me they were touring with Shooter too! This was back in Spring of 2007 or was it 2006? It hasn’t happened to my knowledge. At any rate, Sebastian Bach has yet to let go of anything 80’s. Doesn’t mean I won’t belt out Youth Gone Wild, 18 and Life, or Monkey Business if someone plays it on the jukebox. haha

Brian was talking about it this past spring. It was some political thing to get liberals to listen to shooter or something. They were waiting to hear this new rock album before they made a decision I think. Who knows.

Lucero on the road with Shooter.
hmmm…
don’t like it.
nope. don’t like it one bit.You can rub up against that level of suck for an entire tour and not end up with some of it on you.
Lucero. Please don’t suck…..avoid shooter.
