Last week, Candlebox came to town and brought 1992 with them.
Seriously.
Anyone who liked this band in ’92 was at Jannus on this evening. I could not believe the crowd that was present for a band that had been off the radar for 10 years. The band returned the favor by coming out and putting on as good of a show as they did in ’92 and I know, I saw them more than once. Kevin’s vocals sounded as good as they ever have and he seemed to really be eating up the energy coming from the crowd. With that said, I really have to go back to the crowd. I can not believe how many people showed up. The place had to be bordering on sell-out. It was elbow to elbow from the stage to the Green Room.
Judging from the song selection the band has a firm grip on where they are, essentially playing every hit from back in the day and properly inserting tracks from their new album, Into the Sun, in a way that managed to keep everyone, even those that haven’t heard a single track from the new album, engaged for the entire show. The band more than entertained, they brought the Rock Show and I don’t think a single person left it disappointed.

The weather was one gigantic question mark and Jannus is an outdoor venue so I left my camera at home.
