It’s been a while since I did a 9b in the wild post but I’ve received a few over the past couple of weeks and I thought I’d show them to y’all. Word on the street is that I should have a picture of one on a curling broom coming my way & I gotta say…I find the fact that I have yet to receive a pic of one being used as a pasty very disappointing. Anyhow, here are some current 9b in the wild sightings:

I’ve been falling way behind on getting shit listened to and reviewed for the site. That said, Yesterday’s Ring’s new album, Diamonds in the Ditch, hit shelves yesterday and I dig it. Check out this track (which mentions my home state) and tell me you ain’t digging it:
Yesterday’s Ring – Moving Out (To Florida)
Why am I getting so far behind? Mostly cause I am a lazy sumbitch but one thing that has been occupying some time as of late has finally started to make itself known. Ninebullets readers, meet the newest efforts of the ninebullets.net crew; 80 Proof Music. I was hoping we could find another way to crowd in on the ninebullets.org namesakes but we came up dry (that was a joke .org guys…don’t get all bristly) and don’t worry, no matter how successful 80 Proof might get, we’ll never sell shit from Hierophant.
Lemme see. Is there anything else? Oh Yeah! Today is my birthday! Yup. I turn 36 years old today. Closer to prostate exams than I am to 30. So, tonight, think of me, drink some whiskey and lube up a finger.

1. Happy belated! Cheers!
2. What’s that 80 Proof Music all about? I feel so out since I don’t follow twitter…
3. re: the Shooter dis: I’ll always defend the first Shooter album and I even found some nice words for The Wolf (!), but the videos on savingcountrymusic.com were just horrible. and I mean horrible. like they tried to live up to that incredibly shitty new name and amazingly succeeded.

I agree with the 1st Shooter Meaty but I got nothing nice for The Wolf.
And Brittany, did you watch those videos? I’m gonna guess no since you asked what was up with the diss.

@Meaty – we’ve started to talk about 80 Proof on its own blog: http://blog.80proofmusic.com

Well I was at that show and had one hell of a good time… granted, most of the good times were had on his older stuff, but I just figured that’s because I didn’t know the new ones as well… it’s a different direction for sure, but I’ll wait to judge it until I’ve heard the record. I personally like Shooter’s rockier stuff like Electric Rodeo, not quite as much as Put the O though. Black Ribbons is now up on youtube, another new song from the Richmond show, and it is really good.
