On Lucero’s recent stint through Florida Ben stopped in at out local community radio station, WMNF, and did some solo acoustic stuff on the Saturday Asylum show. Included in that set was a new song that I thought I’d post. I asked the band about the new album at the show Saturday night and they said they are gonna try and get it out by the end of this year.

man, oh, man, thats a long time till i get some new lucero. i gotta tell you that lucero shows in gainesville are waaaaaaaay better than st pete. ive been trying to get the coldwater sessions. but nothings working for me. any help?

Excellent song. Lucero are consistently great. I just wanted to let you know your blog has clued me into some great music over the past few months. Keep up the great posts. I’m done kissing your ass. Thanks for helping me fill my ipod. By the way Shiner Boch or Yuengling are the best beers around, not that Avalanche stuff you posted about last week. I bought a sixer of it and it was pretty good but not the best. The Pale Ale that company makes is better. Feel free to talk up more alcohol. I’ll try it.

Shiner Boch is a fine beer…but your mention of Yuengling as a top beer makes me wonder….It’s a good choice when your other options are Bud/Bud Light/Miller/Miller Light and Coors but if there is a Bass tap or…hell, even an Amberboch tap I am skipping past the Yuengling.
Imma stick to my guns though: Avalanche on tap is where it’s at.
Hobgoblin and Spaten Optimator on tap share that beer pinnacle …I gotta give them their credits.
