LIVE VERSIONS OF SOME NEW LUCERO TRACKS:

Lucero been crowd testing some new songs for a while now and they’ve been popping up on live boots here and there. Hell, I think I’ve posted a few on here already.

Well, last month one of my fellow Lucero Message Board members collected a lot of them into one post. I dunno why I didn’t think about it at the time but it took seeing them posted on another blog (Fuel/Friends) to think, “Fuck! I should share all of these with the 9b.net readers“.

So, my bad. I’m sorry. Better late than never and all that shit. Which one do you like the best?

I can’t wait to hear the studio version of Sixes and Sevens.

Ben Solo – Hey Darlin’, Do You Gamble?

Lucero – Hey Darlin’, Do You Gamble?
Lucero – Darken My Door
Lucero – What Are You Willing To Lose
Lucero – Johnny Davis
Lucero – Sounds of the City
Lucero – Goodbye Again
Lucero – Can’t Feel The Pain
Lucero – The Devil and Maggie Chascarillo
Lucero – Lonesome Dogtown Nights
Lucero – Sixes and Sevens

  1. You are forgiven..like you said at least they got posted. Umm wow im giving (Goodbye Again) the slight nod over (What are you willing to lose) on a very tight call.

  2. Darlin Do You Gamble is coming together as a big whole-band rock song which I didn’t expect. It sounds awesome.Goodbye Again is just pure sad Lucero goodness..(sang with a bottle of Jameson in hand last night)

  3. The Devil and Maggie Chascarillo is great and has been reworked since that recording.

I can’t wait to hear where they worked horns into these.

  4. They played “Darken My Door” and “Goodbye Again” in Portland a few weeks ago. They were a-mazing songs live.

Got high hopes for the next album. Can they keep it up? I think so.

  5. Just caught them in Boulder. The band is sounding better live right now than I can remember hearing in many many years. Not that their live show has ever been bad, but they were so tight last weekend. Might be a combination of having been in the studio a lot and also the fact that Ben dialed back his whiskey consumption just a tad at this show.

  6. Hey, doubt you remember be, but I emailed you awhile back about blogging/journalism etc etc and I write a little bit for Triggerman over at savingcountrymusic.com, anyway reading your blog and stuff turned me on to Lucero big-time, and i’m proud to announce i’m going to my first show Sept. 17, they’re playing in Champaign, IL which is basically my back yard. I’m really excited to see the show. props to you Autopsy.
