So as you folks may or may not know, our very own Michelle Evans got hitched. She’s Michelle Hanks now, and her new beau is none other than Cory Hanks, bass player for ANOTHER 9b favorite, Those Crosstown Rivals. One of my favorite things about our little corner of music is all of the friendships it brings about, but I’d have said a marriage was a little ambitious if I didn’t see it happen before my very eyes.
To celebrate their newly-found wedded bliss, Cory and Michelle are doing what they do best: putting on a show, and a doozy of a one at that. If you happen to find yourself at all around Lexington on Saturday, November 15 you should definitely be checking this one out. Why, you ask? Well other than Those Crosstown Rivals (of course), and the omni-present Matt Woods who seems to show up at every music festival in the country at the same time (who also designed that badass poster up there!), they’ve got a killer lineup: Tyler Childers, Justin Wells (of Fifth on the Floor), Doc Feldman, and Senora Lainhart.
The show is free and open to the public (21+), and I’m sure Michelle and Cory would love to see all of their buddies, fans, and readers come on out and have a good time. If I get the chance to make it, I know I won’t hesitate! Check out the event’s Facebook page here.
