This review comes from a friend of mine:

Neil Young does come to mind more than once while listening to Oh, My Girl. Having said that I’d still describe the music as down tempo/americana. The Dreaming Dead is probably the most upbeat, for lack of a better word, song on the album. This song could have easily been playing during the closing credits of The Devils Rejects. Its her raspy/husky voice and the twangy surf guitar that really set and direct the mood of the songs. As soon as she starts singing you know you’re headed on a sad journey with no happiness in sight. I’ve only had a chance to listen to her first album but if you head over to her myspace page you can hear some tracks from both albums. I highly recommend this album.
