It was announced that my favorite team, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, have cut my favorite player, Derrick Brooks. I mean, I see the logic. DB had taken some steps back over the past 2 seasons but I’m still saddened. Derrick Brooks is the only player whom I’ve been able to cheer for and follow throughout his entire NCAA and NFL career. It’ll be odd to see him in another uniform next year.
I need a fucking whiskey drink.

They did Brooks wrong. Let him have a reduced role and end it here after next year.
I would like to see him sigh with someone who has a chance of wining the Super Bowl next year. it would be great to see him get another ring.

I’ve probably seen Double Nickle play 300 Football games between FSU and with the Bucs. Sad to see him go, but it’s time to move on. The Bucs might have been a 6-10 team with those veterans next year, without they probably won’t win 4 games. What’s the difference really? They do need to evaluate some of their younger talent for the next 5 years. And Brooks is a Hall Of Famer, it’s doubtful he’d want to come back as a back-up.
