The AP is reporting that Neil Hefti, the composer of the original 1960’s Batman theme, passed away today. Interestingly enough the article said that the original theme was a Top 40 hit and won a Grammy Award in 1966 for best instrumental theme.
Go figure.
I watched the shit out of the old black and white Batman as a kid and as a result that song is ingrained into my brain.
