A three string cigar box guitar, a pickup wound on a singer sewing machine, a valve amp cobbled together from Fifties parts, a 1930′s Lowboy from Texas, a pre-war marching drum from London, a telephone mic and a brass slide. A cellar in Pennsylvania, a farm on the Yorkshire moors and a room upstairs. All recorded in monophonic on a farm in the North of England.

No overdubs. No effects. No auto-tune. Just 3 chords and his truth. This is the essence of what this thing we call punk blues is.

  2. that’s solid. it reminds me of Scott Biram (and that’s high praise) with a British accent – that was a little odd.
