Hangar 18 Update: Week 4

What is Hangar 18? I quote from Ear Farm:

Behold, ladies and gentlemen, the first season of Hangar 18: the Bloggers v. Rockers Fantasy Football League. This league pits six bloggers (My Old Kentucky Blog, Gorilla Vs. Bear, Ear Farm, ninebullets, Indie Interviews, and I Guess I’m Floating) against six musicians (Tapes N Tapes, Vicious Vicious, Margot & The Nuclear So & So’s, The Muggabears, Arizona, and Mancino) in a battle to decide who amongst the twelve of us will reign supreme as the Indie Rock CHAMPION of Fantasy Football.

I gotta admit, I talked a lot of shit last week. My friend asked me what song about having your nose rubbed in shit I was gonna select if I lost. I just quoted Dan Bern quoting Muhammed Ali and said, “it ain’t braggin’ if it’s true”. I promptly followed that up with the FSU over Bama style defeat of the Muggabears, which is to say it wasn’t as close as the score might suggest. Perhaps they will go into hiding, write a song about this, and thank me in their liner notes. This week…oh yes! The puppet head must fall. The mighty team that is ninebullets.net will face off against the untested and undefeated team that is Arizona. Pfffftttt…victory will be mine, at which point I will hold a piece of first place.

AS A SIDE NOTE: I deem this day ‘Fuck Dodge and His Old Kentucky Blog Day’ AND ‘Fuck Ear Farm‘ day. Fuck ’em both with a studded donkey dick. Why? Why you ask? Because they are Indianapolis Colts and NC State fans respectively. Yes, this is a football fan thing. My Tampa Bay Buccaneers roll into Indy this Sunday with a renewed swagger, two rookie offensive linemen and no pass rush. It ain’t looking good for the boys but stranger things have happened. The Colts are soft…hit ’em in the face and they tend to turtle up. Hit Manning a few times and he rolls his little bottom lip out. So the prescription for Tampa victory is a hope, a prayer and some hyper-aggression bordering on unsportsmanlike.

and Ear Farm….Ear Farm, Ear Farm, Ear Farm. Your Wolfpack may have stood a chance two weeks ago, but I was there last week. I was in the stadium to witness the reawakening of the Seimnole-nation. Yes, Xavier the Savior took the field, and with him came offense. An offense that looks as though it will not need to be carried by that top 10 defense any longer. If Xavier continues the way he started….Wolfpack get a beat down and Amato gets the Gatorade bath.

  1. Oh man, B-E-A-UTIFUL. Seriously, I think Peyton will take a nap in the second half they’ll be up by so much on your Bucs.
