Y’all are in for a treat over the next few days. You get (2) posts today and (1) for everyday of the rest of the week (including the weekend) then it’s back to the same boring ol’ 1 post per day with nothing on the weekends.
This post comes from Ms. Valentina McAfee who just happened to buy a new scooter. Incidentally, I took my Vespa out for the first time in months last night and was reminded how much fun driving that fucker really is.
Speaking of fun, check out Valentina’s subject, Jason Anderson…

I live in Los Angeles and this past week has been absolutely perfect. Great weather, good friends, caught a Ryan Bingham show in Hollywood, and got a new motor scooter. When things are going right like that I need a soundtrack that goes along with the positivity. They can’t all be whiskey nights, broken hearts, and forgotten dreams…that’s when you put on an album like ‘Tonight’.
A friend of mine just turned me onto this guy and I have been hooked since the first spin. Jason Anderson is a singer-songwriter out of New England that, (from what I have been told), puts on one helluva live show. I think that live energy carries over onto his recordings. You can just hear that this guy absolutely loves what he is doing. He’s got a kind of folk-rock, sing-a-long style going on…and it’s very infectious. Think, Springsteen all mixed up with The Hold Steady.
So check out these tracks and if you like what ya’ hear head on over to his website for some free album downloads. (That’s right friend, FREE). Hope these songs makes you feel all good inside!

Great choice. Jason is one of the best and most under appreciated artists in the biz these days. Don’t miss any chance you have to see him live.

Thanks for this. Now I have to hope he makes it to MD soon.

Thanks so much for the suggestion! He’s seems like a nice guy with good music taste from the messages we’ve back and forthed to each other. He’s so high energy and so good. He’s yet another singer/songwriter that I want to kidnap and make live in Memphis.
