I’m outta here folks. Sunday morning I will be leaving the plush 80 degrees of Florida for a week of single-digit lows, Fat Tire Beer and snow covered mountains. I have a few guest blogger pieces queued up for next week and I’ll return on 2/12 provided I don’t break anything and the airline industry doesn’t leave me stranded anywhere.

i enjoy the site. keeps me mindful of all the good music my southern roots produce. just want to let you know that the snow at Steamboat is the best it has been in my three years of skiing that hill. conditions this wkend are brillient and unsettled pattern continues into Wed. i’m up in Laramie. keep up the appreciated work, rent some skis for a day. best, – Phil B

I just got back from Vail tonight. They just got 7 inches on Friday and the powder is crazy. I’m sure you’ll enjoy yourself.
