So, I am gonna try something…it will go on as long as I have inspiration or get stories from either of my readers. Basically, every Friday I will post a song from the soundtrack of my youth and give you the story of that song in my life….and here is where you, the reader, can take part in this recurring theme. Feel free to email me your songs and stories and I will post them. It could be good times and there could be some good content that comes out of it. So, I will start.
Flashback Song: Kenny Rogers – The Gambler
I owned the Kenny Roger’s – Greatest Hits vinyl when I was a young’un and listened to it constantly. Well, my neighbor, Darren, was older than me by a few years and he had learned all the words to the Hall and Oates song “Private Eyes” and kept bragging that he did indeed know all the words and by god it made me wanna know all the words to a song….So I chose The Gambler….at the time I pretty much knew them all…when the song was playing…but I needed to be able to sing the fucker a cappella so I went to practicing….in the shower, on the bus, after school…every spare moment for days was spent practicing The Gambler…..finally, I had it…I could sing it in word for word perfection…and boy was I proud.
I think I still know all the words.
There you go…if anyone wants to contribute email me your story….

You’re an asshole! What a great idea!
