In a never ending effort to give you, the reader, the most current and up to date coverage of the Americana scene as ninebullets.net sees it I am off for Denver, Colorado for the Suburban Home Records 14th Anniversary Party.
That’s right, I’m going for you. Not for the booze, not for the party, not cause 5 of my favorite bands are playing under one roof. Nope. Not for that at all. I’m going strictly as a journalist and as a professional I’ll aim to cover the events unfoldings in the same manner my journalistic/writing hero, Hunter S. Thompson, would have. In other words; this shit is gonna be fun. Feel free to follow my adventures via my twitter page and look for a full recap next week.
See y’all next week. Till then, here are a few Denver themed songs and the Suburban Home Anniversary Mixtape to hold you over.
Waylon Jennings – Gone To Denver
Jimmy Buffett – A Mile High In Denver
16 Horsepower – The Denver Grab
Eddie & The Hot Rods – Get Out Of Denver (Live)
Suburban Home Anniversary Mixtape:
P.S.: Don’t forget there’s always the ninebullets.net podcast for your listening pleasures. Play it an think of me slaving away over whiskey drinks and rock and roll.
