STOP THE PRESSES!!!!
Assjack, the metal/hellbilly side of Hank III’s persona is not only getting a proper release. The fucking thing is coming out on Curb Records.
To say this is surprising is a massive understatement. It’s currently slated for an August 4 release date (pre-order here) so that gives Mike Curb and Co. plenty of time to push it back or otherwise fuck with something we, the record buying public, want to hear.
And if past actions are a proper indicator of the future…they will.

‘Chinese Democracy’ finally came out this year so maybe Assjack actually will too. Did you get an advance copy or are the tracks posted the ones that have been floating around for a couple of years now?

Damn, this was about time. As soon as I read III’s myspace bulletin I pre-ordered that fucker (LP includes CD again!). First the officla plans for a European tour (he’ll play on my fucking birthday in my hometown!), now this! I’m not sure I’ll dig it as much as his other stuff, but I sure am excited about it!

I wish someone would explain the appeal here… I really want to like III but other than his first few records when Curb was censoring him (i hate that I like stuff he was holding back on) I can’t listen to his country stuff let alone assjack… I’m not some sort of prude, but it’s just too vulgar for me…
