To correct some misinformation in this article, Butch McDade, the drummer, didn't die until 1998, after The Aces released a re-recording of their greatest hits (Ride Again) and an entirely new studio album (Out of the Blue). And Chock Full of Country Goodness came out in 1998.

Here I am, years late to get the downloads. I was brought up with ARA and have all the albums, but no MP3s... and ya know how it is when you get a craving.

I am listentng to the vinyl record of these guys album Too Stuffed to Jump. It's the only one I have, and I have to say that The Amazing Rythem Aces have combined a beautiful collection of blues, jazz, and country music that I haven't heard from anyone else. It's a mix that works well. My daughters love the cover as much as I do and they really love the music also.

>>>Note from aforementioned daughter: I've been listening to The Amazing Rhythm Aces since I was tiny. I can honestly say that even though I'm from a completely different generation, I still love this particular album immensely. Brilliant stuff, I don't know who could quite compare.

The self-titled 1979 album "The Amazing Rhythm Aces" also worth checking out. Good choices here, though.
