Although I already own JD McPherson’s new album I really must insist that you stop posting such a great show as I have lost count of the albums bought on the strength of them. This one alone made me seek out the album by Cafeteria (who I had never heard of) & what a brilliant find it is. Also, even though I own some Charlie Parr music, this show prompted me to pre-order Stump Jumper. Keep it going, even though you cost me a fortune.
P.S. Please play some Scott H Biram. I went to see him at The Cluny in Newcastle, England last week & he was amazing & a very decent bloke signing a cd, taking photos & chatting about Possessed By Paul James. Class
Thank you for the kinds words, my friend. You are the second person to mention Cafeteria to me after this show. Were you able to find their album Knee Deep? I’ll keep putting together the best shows I can and I hope you’ll tell your friends to listen. Biram is on the list for next week.
I do mention the show to anyone that listens to my drunken ramblings & yes, bought ‘Knee Deep’ about two minutes after hearing ‘Drunk’ & it’s great. May I please also recommend Natural Child for a slot on the show along with my favourite Milwaukee man, Mr Jonathan Burks. Thanks for the music Charles, we are in a small, but very important club I feel.
