Because Songs Matter

30 DAY SONG CHALLENGE: DAY 18:

So, I’ve decided to do this facebook 30 Day Song Challenge (you can see previous days here) thing and I figured I’d do it here on ninebullets. Feel free to contribute your thoughts in the comments section.

DAY 18: A SONG YOU WISH YOU HEARD ON THE RADIO:

For me, this one is pretty easy. While there are literally thousands of songs I wish got any play in the radio, I truly believe Glossary could do the most damage with it. To me, their sound is pure rock and roll and if they could get any push behind them I think the unwashed masses would fall in love with them.

Glossary - Save Your Money For The Weekend

How about you? What band do you wish would get a little airplay?

Speaking of airplay, I played Glossary on this week’s episode of Ninebullets Radio. Go listen to it via the stream.

This is pretty easy for me as well….band wise anyway. Too many tracks to pick from though, so I’m gonna go with the local band:
Backyard Tirefire – Piss & Moan

Love those guys. I was only lukewarm on the last album but I really dug the albums before it.

Yea I think the songs from that album are better heard live.

Shout It From the Rooftops would do really well for them as well.

He’d have to record more stuff that contains the feeling of his live shows but

    Cory Branan – Walk Around

honorable mention for Chase Fifty Six – Goodbye Princess could get over with alot of folks

Glossary is the obvious choice. I think Two Cow could do well on the right station. And I think Chase 56 or Doc Dailey could break through all that soccer mom country (props to Flegel for that term) and get big.

Glossary is a great choice, and “Save Your Money For the Weekend” is a classic-in-waiting. I’ll pass on that one though and go with “Independent Thief” by Kathleen Edwards.
